Milton Keynes Music is a supporter of Milton Keynes Music Service, a council-run service specialising in instrumental tuition and music education. The Music Service has over 100 teachers on its books, teaching a wide range of instruments to beginners and more advanced pupils of all ages. In addition the service runs over 55 ensembles of various styles, including classical, wind, jazz, rock and brass bands.

A graduate of the Royal College of Music (London) and the University of Birmingham, Andrew Eales has the professional training and performing experience that is essential in order to deliver the highest quality of teaching. Before teaching the piano I worked for the BBC on the television production of ‘Young Musician of the Year’ and ‘Eurovision Young Musician of the Year’ competitions. I have also taught dance and drama in school and a London fringe theatre.

I teach children, young people and adults, from beginners to improvers. I enter my students for the Associated Board graded exams and have always had excellent results (merits and distinctions). I am tri-lingual (English, Polish and French) and sympathetic to students for whom English is a second language.

Louis McRae 

I`m a professional saxophonist offering tuition in saxophone, clarinet, piano and music theory. I studied for a time at the Royal Academy of Music in London with stars like Dave Liebman, Peter King, Joe Lovano, Alan Barnes and Paul Harvey. I've also played for the National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO).

While specializing in Jazz and improvisation, I often teach a wide variety of styles including the Classical grades from 1 to 8. Everyone is welcome and I teach all over Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.  

My approach is relaxed, friendly and encouraging. Yet at the same time I like to push my students to see them really improve and do well. My goal is to see them progress to a point where they have more and more freedom to express themselves musically. It does indeed take quite some discipline and perseverance, it`s this I try hard to promote.

Cheryl Hawkins is a professional singer and singing teacher. She coaches classical as well as pop and rock singers and can demonstrate how to belt safely.
